Renna Hickey is the Sierra Organizer with California Environmental Voters focused on advancing political will to bravely champion environmental issues. In inspiration of her family's UFW organizing, she earned her bachelor's degree at Fresno State in 2024 with a political science major and a women, gender, sexuality studies minor. After working in local government offices and candidate campaigns, her passion grew towards community organizing and missions that uplift intersectional communities. In her role as an organizer, she is advocating with diverse collaboration across environmental coalitions to achieve historical results for her home and her beloved Sierra.

Chris Bubser left a career in Biotech to run for congress in 2020 to work for universal healthcare, protection of public lands and the environment, and supporting creation of high quality jobs in Eastern California. In 2022, she was elected as a member of Mammoth Lakes Town Council and currently serves as Mayor. During her time on council, she has prioritized creating housing for all community members across income levels, increased the focus on addressing the substantial wildfire risk to the town by advocating for additional funding to increase the pace and scale of wildfire mitigation, and worked to make the community more inclusive. She co-founded the Sierra Protection Action Network to build power across the Sierra Nevada among environmental, racial, economic and social justice organizations.

Elizabeth "Izzy" Martin is an organizer and advocate with decades of experience working in rural communities to promote economic and environmental justice. While serving as Nevada County Supervisor Izzy led the fight to put the Yuba River into the state’s wild and scenic river system, headed the effort to clean up an abandoned mine in her district, and began a successful five-year campaign to establish the Sierra Nevada Conservancy. Izzy conceived of and directed for nearly 20 years The Sierra Fund’s Headwaters Restoration Program, aimed at restoring the region from the environmental, health and cultural devastation caused by the 19th century California gold rush. Her extraordinary accomplishments were recognized in 2016 when she received a James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award and a California Wellness Leader Sabbatical Award

Francesca Brittingham is a community organizer, researcher, and writer dedicated to advancing intersectional environmental and social justice across the Sierra Nevada and Los Angeles regions. Driven by the belief that access to healthy air and water is a fundamental human right, she began her career working on environmental remediation projects in underserved BIPOC communities in Washington DC. Her work focused on watershed cleanups in the Anacostia, Patuxent, and Potomac river basins. Francesca co-founded the Sierra Protection Action Network, a coalition that unites organizers, advocates, and elected officials across Sierra counties. In her role as training coordinator, she has helped equip hundreds of grassroots leaders statewide with the tools and skills needed to run effective, values-based campaigns.

Nick Bennett is an Army veteran and lawyer, who currently serves as the Chair of the Placer County Democratic Party. Nick works for the State Water Resources Control Board, dealing with water rights, sustainable groundwater management, environmental justice, and climate change policy. Nick grew up and lives in Roseville, CA.
